Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

South Plainfield, NJ – William “Bill” Russo, Jr. 87, passed away on March 24, 2024 at Cedar Oaks Nursing Home in South Plainfield.  Born in Plainfield, NJ to the late William and Kathryn (Sansone) Russo, Bill was a lifelong resident of the borough.

Bill earned his degree in engineering and worked at Hewlett Packard, Lockheed Martin and Lucent Technologies.  After retirement, he found joy in working for First Student School Bus Company as a bus driver.  He always had a smile on his face seeing the little ones every day.

Above all things, Bill loved spending time with his family and lovingly took care of his wife and son.

He had a love of cars and learned everything he could about repairing cars from his father who was a mechanic.  He was known to always fix everyone’s cars and just about anything around the house. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his brother-in-law Bob.

Predeceased by his parents, brothers Saverio and Felix Russo and his granddaughter Stephanie Pauls, Bill leaves behind his loving wife of sixty-two years, Lois (Porcella) Russo and their daughter, Nancy Pauls and her husband Jeff, son William K. Russo as well as two grandchildren whom meant the world to him, Justin and Brandon Pauls, all of South Plainfield.

Mausoleum Entombment will be held privately at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations sent in Bill’s name to the American Heart Association (www.Heart.org) would be appreciated.
